The Nordictrack C100 treadmill is one of the most affordable models that Nordictrack makes. It’s much simpler than Nordictracks other models with a basic LED console and a smaller belt.

Nordictrack C100 Treadmill Review – Benefits:

Backlit LCD Console

While the console is fairly small on this treadmill, it is backlit. It shows your speed, incline, calories and distance, as well as your heart rate (which you take using the EKG hand grip sensors in front of the console).

There’s also a racetrack display showing you the workout intensity as you go.

There’s also an iPod/mp3 compatible music port with 2 inch speakers in the console. So you can plug in your iPod or other mp3 device and play your favorite tunes as you walk.

Adjustable Cushioning

You can turn a knob on the treadmill belt to turn the cushioning up (if you want more joint protection for your hips, knees, joints and back). Or, for a more road-like running feel, you can turn the cushioning down.

Folding with Shock Assist

The Nordictrack C100 folds up easily so you can move it out of the way or clean under it. There’s a shock-assist mechanism as well to help save the strain on your back.

Stay in Your Target Fat-Burning Zone

You can stay in your target heart rate zone with the EKG hand grip pulse monitors in front of the console. The C100 treadmill is also compatible with a Polar wireless chest strap (however it’s not included with your purchase – you’ll have to buy it separately).

20 Built-In Workouts

If you want some challenge you can choose from 20 different pre-made workouts. Each one focuses on a different goal like calories, time, heart rate etc. The programs will adjust the treadmill incline and speed (sometimes) based on your goal.

Nordictrack C100 Treadmill Review – What You Should Know:

No iFit Coach above th

The C100 is an older Nordictrack treadmill and as such does not have an option to add iFit Coach. It also does not have a tablet holder above the console like most of the newer Nordictrack models today.

Shorter Deck

The belt on this treadmill runs 140 cm – which should be fine for most people. But if you’re on the taller side (over 6 foot 2 or 190 cm) you may want to upgrade to one of Nordictracks longer belts.

Console

The console is backlit – but it’s still very small and because of this, it can be hard to read.

Bottom Line?

If you want a simple treadmill made by a good brand name – for a great low price, the Nordictrack C100 treadmill might be worth considering. However it’s fair to note that this is an older model and there are a few red flags you should keep in mind.

First of all, the motor is not as strong on this unit as other Nordictrack models. The console is also much smaller and very limited.

Plus the deck is on the shorter side – which might be a problem for runners. All in all, while the C100 might be ok for the occasional walker, if you plan on running it’s not recommended.

A Better Option?

You may want to consider the Nordictrack C700 vs the C100 treadmill. It has a stronger motor and longer warranty. Plus it has a tablet holder above the console (which can really add some entertainment to your workouts) and comes iFit compatible – all for only about £100 more.
