Wondering which is best for you?
These are two super-affordable treadmills from Nordictrack that look very similar to each other.
They both give you a very respectable 3.0 HP motor and up to 22 KM/H running speed. They’re also both iFit coach compatible.
So you can connect to iFit through your treadmill and download new workouts, track your workout stats or even run different world trails – from Paris to New Zealand!
However there are a few main differences between them that you should know before you make your final buying decision.
With that in mind let’s compare the Nordictrack T10.0 vs T12.0 treadmills below:
Nordictrack T10.0 vs T12.0 Treadmill – Price
While prices do tend to jump around a bit, as of this writing the Nordictrack T10.0 model is just slightly less than the T12.0 model. You can get it around £899 with Free Shipping here. That makes it more attractive budget-wise.
The Nordictrack T12.0 treadmill is the next model up with a few more premium features. However it’s not too much more, coming in about £999 with Free Home Delivery here.
Nordictrack 10.0 vs 12.0 Treadmill – Console
This is the main area where you see the biggest difference between these two treadmills.
The Nordictrack T10.0 treadmill gives you a dual-color, bright, backlit LED screen with a scrolling message board to lead you through your workout.
There’s also a tablet holder above the console. So you can attach your tablet and watch your favorite shows or movies as you walk.
This is ok – but again the console is only dual color – here’s an up-close picture of what the console looks like:
The console on the Nordictrack T12.0 treadmill is not dual color – it’s actually full-color, HD and touch-screen sensitive (unlike the T10.0 model) as you can see below:
Here’s another picture of the console close-up:
This is quite an upgrade – for a similarly priced treadmill. Many people will probably prefer to have the full-color console in their treadmill.
Plus, as it’s also touch-screen sensitive – so it’s a lot easier to scroll around, start a workout and see your options on the T12.0 treadmill console.
The Nordictrack T12.0 treadmill also has the adjustable tablet holder just like the T10.0 model as well.
Another small difference to note is the size of the fan on both consoles. On the T10.0 model it takes up half the console – which seems a bit clunky and oversized. On the T12.0 model it’s smaller and not as prominent – which a lot of people prefer.
iFit Coach Differences
Both treadmills are compatible with iFit Coach (iFit Coach is a service you can add on that lets you run trails all over the world and watch HD workout videos as you run).
Note however that if you don’t have your own tablet that you can use to connect to iFit with the Nordictrack T10.0 model, you won’t get the iFit world scenery that everybody really loves (since the console is only dual color).
So you won’t get full use out of iFit if you decide to add it to your treadmill on the T10.0 model.
If you don’t have a tablet, it really doesn’t matter on the Nordictrack T12.0 treadmill – since you can connect to iFit easily just by pressing a button on the console interface.
You can then watch iFit scenery through the console window.
Nordictrack T10.0 vs T12.0 Comparison – Incline
The Nordictrack T12.0 treadmill comes with up to 10% incline – which is pretty standard for a starter treadmill. The Nordictrack T10.0 treadmill goes a bit further with up to 12% incline.
It’s a bit surprising to see that you get a higher incline on the T10.0 treadmill vs the T12.0 treadmill – but it’s worth noting if you want the extra incline on your treadmill.
Nordictrack 10.0 vs 12.0 Treadmill – Built-in Workouts
Want some extra workout challenge? Not sure you want to try iFit coach? The Nordictrack T10.0 treadmill comes with 20 built-in workouts for added challenge
The Nordictrack T12.0 treadmill gives you a few more – around 34 built-in workouts. So you get more variety with this treadmill.
So what’s the bottom line when comparing the Nordictrack T10.0 vs T12.0 treadmills?
While they both give you some solid basics like a 3.0 HP motor, EKG heart rate monitors and 22 km/hour speed limits, there are some important differences.
The biggest difference is in the console – the T12.0 gives you an upgraded full-color console which makes it a lot more enjoyable to watch iFit Coach world scenery as you run.
With the T10.0 model you only get a dual color console. And if you want to try iFit Coach, you’ll need to connect with your tablet – as you can’t connect through the console on the T10.0 model.
On the other hand, the Nordictrack T10.0 treadmill gives you a bit higher incline – and it currently comes in at a slightly more affordable price.
So it really comes down to what you’re looking for.
