Pros and Cons of the T12.0 Treadmill
The Nordictrack T12.0 is a super-affordable new treadmill from Nordictrack with something you don’t usually find on a starter model – a full-color, HD touch screen console
This console makes it very easy to navigate around the treadmill, watch iFit scenery in full color or choose your next workout program.
The T12.0 model also comes with a very respectable 3.0 HP self-cooling motor – strong enough for those longer workouts. You can also easily adjust your cushioning up or down to give you some extra joint protection.

Nordictrack T12.0 Treadmill Review – The Pros:
Full-Color, Touch-Screen Console
See your workouts in full color with this full-color, HD touch-screen console. You can easily toggle back and forth between your stats and the iFit workouts with a swipe of your finger.
And the screen makes watching iFit workouts (where you can run all over the world) much more enjoyable.
There’s also a sturdy bracket above the console to hold your tablet. So you can easily go online and surf the net or watch your favorite shows on Netflix or another streaming service.
Healthy 3.0 HP Motor
You get a very healthy 3.5 HP continuous duty motor power – strong enough to power the treadmill easily for both runners or walkers alike.
Plus the heavy-duty drive system also has dual fans that help cool the internal components while running – with less noise and vibration. This helps to prolong the life of your treadmill and give you a smoother, quieter workout.
Explore the World with iFit
iFit Coach connects your treadmill to the Internet where you can then track your workouts to see how far you’ve come, set new goals and more.
You can stream high-energy fitness classes broadcast directly to your console. Can’t get to the gym? No problem – there are thousands of streaming workouts you can try, from beginner to experienced athlete.
You can also choose to run famous trails all over the world – from Paris to Hawaii. You’ll see the actual trail scenery you’re running on the console – as you walk – for a more “virtual reality” feel.
You can run the streets of Paris or enjoy the shores of Hawaii. Or take a walking tour of Florence. You can choose to run alone – or with a coach that motivates you along the way.
While iFit is a monthly streaming subscription service, if you get the Nordictrack T12.0 direct from the Manufacturer, you can get a Free 1-year membership to iFit Coach. So you can try it out for the full year to see if you like it!
(You don’t need iFit to use the treadmill – it’s an optional service).
Need some extra cushioning protection? The deck on this treadmill also comes with adjustable cushioning. So if you’re more prone to injury or shin splints and want a softer deck you just turn the cushioning up.
If you want a more road-like feel to your workout, you can easily turn the knob on the deck to turn the cushioning down.
iPod Dock with Speakers
There’s also a handy sound system with speakers in the console and a jack for your phone or other mp3 device. So you can plug in your device or phone and listen to your favorite tunes as you workout.
Folds Up to Save Space
The Nordictrack T12.0 treadmill also folds up to save space. The hydraulic lift assist helps to fold up the treadmill for you – saving the strain on your back.
Nordictrack T12.0 Review – The Cons:
If you want to try iFit after the free year is up, you’ll need to get an online subscription from the manufacturer (about £99 per year). iFit is optional however – the treadmill works just fine without it.
You only get up to 10% incline with this treadmill – which should be ok for occasional exercisers. However if you want more of a challenge, you may want to upgrade to one of the commercial models which come with up to 15% incline.
The Nordictrack 12.0 treadmill is a simple, well-built treadmill that is very easy on the budget. Althought it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of Norditrack’s commercial treamills – it does have a strong motor and tough deck which should hold up well under medium-to-long workouts.
Plus the full-color, touch-screen console is a really nice feature you don’t often find on starter models. And with the tablet holder, you’ll be able to surf the net or watch movies as you walk.
Along with all of the iFit videos and programs, you’ll never run out of things to do on this treadmill!
