Nordictrack T14.0 Treadmill Review – The Pros:
Full-Color, Touch-Screen Console
This treadmill comes with a 7 inch touch-screen console. So you can see your workout stats in full color.
You can also connect directly to iFit Coach online and stream on-demand fitness classes. Or choose from thousands of famous world trails to run and enjoy the scenery.
You can also enjoy guided world trails where the instructor coaches you through the workout, pointing out interesting landmarks along the way (more on iFit below)
Tablet Holder Above the Console
Need more entertainment? Just attach your tablet above the console using the adjustable tablet holder.
Then you can surf the net or watch Netflix, Hulu or YouTube videos as you run.
Explore the World with iFit Coach
The T14.0 treadmill comes iFit compatible. iFit Coach is an online streaming service that connects your treadmill to the internet.
From there you can do all sorts of fun things. You can run or walk famous trails all over the world from Hawaii to New Zealand. You’ll watch real landmarks pass you by in the console screen as you walk!
You can also take daily fitness classes right from your treadmill console – or download new workouts directly to your treadmill for extra challenge.
iFit also tracks your workouts online for you – so you can see how far you’ve come and even set new goals!
While iFit is a subscription-based service, if you get the new Nordictrack T14.0 treadmill direct from the Manufacturer, you can get a Free 1-year subscription to iFit Coach included.
So you can try it out for a full year to see if you like it. (You don’t need iFit Coach to use this treadmill – it’s just an optional service).
Want more cushioning protection for your joints, hips, knees and back?
You can turn the cushioning on the deck up for more protection (a softer deck with more give). Or for a more road-like feel, just turn the cushioning down.
iPod Dock with Speakers
Plug your iPod or similar device into the console sound system and enjoy listening your favorite workout runes as you walk. Enjoy the music through two 2-inch speakers in the console.
Nordictrack T14.0 Review – Any Cons?
You get up to 12% incline on this treadmill – which is standard for a starter treadmill. However some people may want a higher 15% incline found on mid-range models like the Commercial 1750.
No Wireless Heart Rate Monitor
You only get EKG hand sensors to track your heart rate with this treadmill – there is no wireless chest strap included.
The Nordictrack T14.0 treadmill is a simple, affordable treadmill that gives you something you don’t often find for this price point – a full-color console with the ability to stream classes and world workouts to your home.
This alone can make your workouts much more enjoyable. Plus you can also watch TV shows or movies with your tablet using the tablet holder above the console.
But it’s not just about frills – you also get a strong motor, comfortable deck with adjustable cushioning and large-sized deck for extra walking room. Overall if you can get it at the sale price above, this treadmill is a steal.
