Wondering which model is best for your home?
These are both premium incline trainer treadmills – giving you up something other treadmills don’t – up to 40% incline.
What’s the benefit of such a high incline?
You can burn up to 5 times more calories vs a regular treadmill! So you can lose weight, tone up and get in shape really fast with one of these machines.
Plus, you have a lot more room to grow with the higher incline – you won’t top out as quickly as you would on a regular treadmill.
Both treadmills also give you better crosstraining with a 6% decline.
And for even more training fun, both machines come with iFit Coach – a service where you can run trails all over the world, get individualized workouts and even stream in-studio workouts to your console for extra challenge.
So how are these two incline trainers different? And which is the better option for you?
Here’s a rundown of the main differences between the Nordictrack X11i vs X22i treadmills to help you decide. (Note this is a comparison of the UK models only).
Nordictrack X11i vs X22i – Price
While prices do tend to jump around a bit, as of this writing the Nordictrack X11i trainer is more affordable. You can get it for around £1999 with Free Shipping here.
The Nordictrack X22i trainer is the next model up with a few more premium features. You can get it for around £2699 with Free Shipping and Installation here.
So what do you get for the extra money on the X22i treadmill? Let’s take a look.
The console is where you see one of the biggest differences between these two incline trainers. While they both give you full-color, touch-screen, HD screens that stream iFit workouts, there’s a difference in the size of the console.
The Nordictrack X11i treadmill gives you a 10-inch display which you can see below:
The Nordictrack X22i treadmill gives you a much larger 22-inch display which you can see below:
So the screen on the X22i model is more than double the size of the screen on the X11i model.
This can make quite a difference when watching the world scenery trails or taking the iFit fitness class – or even reading your workout stats.
It’s fair to say that most people would prefer the larger screen. It’s like having a built-in, touch-screen TV on your treadmill, which is pretty cool.
Let’s look at another view. Here is the Nordictrack X11i console:
And here’s the Nordictrack X22i:
Basically the X22i treadmill is going to give you a more immersive experience.
Both treadmill consoles also give you a dual-speed cooling fan in the console as well as an auxiliary music port with speakers. So you can plugin in your phone or other device and play your workout music through the speakers as you walk.
You may also notice in the pics that the Nordictrack X11i includes a tablet holder above the console. This is not included with the Nordictrack X22i model, mainly because the console screen is too big for it.
Arm Bar Differences
Both treadmills come with arm bars that you can grasp for extra support – especially during high incline intervals.
However the Nordictrack X22i arm bars are thicker and more horizontal with the body – which a lot of people find easier to grasp and more comfortable overall.
The Nordictrack X11i arm bars are thinner and more on a vertical angle angle.
This isn’t really a huge issue. Basically the Nordictrack X22i arm bars are just a little more sleek and finished.
Nordictrack X11i vs X22i – Installation
As of this writing, you get Free Shipping and installation with the Nordictrack X22i treadmill. You don’t get this on the Nordictrack X11i – however that might change depending on the season.
So what’s the bottom line when comparing the Nordictrack X11i vs X22i treadmills?
They both give you some great features that can help you see faster results – like up to 40% incline and 60% decline.
The biggest difference is in the console – the Nordictrack X22i gives you a much larger 22-inch console. This helps to give you a more immersive, virtual-reality training experience especially with the iFit world trail runs.
It also has a few extra perks like upgraded arm bars and free installation.
However the Nordictrack X11i is more affordable – and still gives you the full color console with iFit streaming workouts.
So it really comes to what you want.
